I write you in regards to manuscript # EFRT-16-0684 entitled "Psychrotrophic Bacterial Diversity Analysis of Chinese freshwater fish during storage at 4 oC based on PCR-DGGE" which you submitted to the European Food Research and Technology.
Unfortunately, I must inform you that your manuscript has been denied publication in the European Food Research and Technology by the editorial office. We came to the conclusion that your contribution is outside the scope of our journal.
The journal European Food Research and Technology publishes state-of-the-art research papers and review articles on fundamental and applied food research. The journal's mission is the fast publication of high quality papers on front-line research, newest techniques and on developing trends in the following sections:
chemistry and biochemistry
technology and molecular biotechnology
nutritional chemistry and toxicology
analytical and sensory methodologies
food physics
Out of the scope of the journal are:
- contributions which are not of international interest or do not have a substantial impact on food sciences,
- submissions which deal mainly with product development or phenomenological aspects without providing general scientific information,
- submissions which comprise merely data collections, based on the use of routine analytical or bacteriological methods,
- contributions reporting biological or functional effects without profound chemical and/or physical structure characterization of the compound(s) under research.
According to our publishing strategy, we cannot accept manuscripts dealing with aspects to optimize technological or analytical strategies, which are mainly data collections or which may be predominantly of local interest. We therefore decided to reject your manuscript. Please accept that this decision is no judgement about the quality of your research. However, due to the large number of manuscripts submitted to EFRT, we have to apply a strict selection process. We are sure that your contribution is suitable for a journal focusing more on technical/technological aspects.
Thank you for considering the European Food Research and Technology for the publication of your research. I hope the outcome of this specific submission will not discourage you from the submission of future manuscripts. |
