Job description
We are actively seeking outstanding candidates to fill in Ph.D. positions. Ph.D. students will work on topics of Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet-of-Things (IoT) with focuses on security, power, and real-time aspects, addressing applications including autonomous vehicles, smart grids, smart transportation, etc. We highly encourage enthusiastic and motivated graduate students to apply.
Visiting and exchange students (CSC) are all welcome.

Requirement
Applicants from majors including computers science, computer engineering, electrical engineering relevant, are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to students with strong implementation abilities and/or theory-inclined background.

Dr. Fanxin Kong's short bio
Dr. Kong is a tenure-track assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Syracuse University. His research interests include security, sustainability, and real-time aspects for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet-of-Things (IoT). His research techniques include optimization, algorithm design, data analysis, machine learning, control, and game theory. Dr. Kong has published over 40 research papers at major highly reputable venues, including ICCPS, RTSS, RTAS, IoTDI, Infocom, etc. He has also authored 3 books.
