10 mg copolymer was dissolved in 1 mL dichloromethane to a form copolymer solution. 10 mL aqueous solution was added to the copolymer solution and emulsified using sonication for 3 min (30 W) to get a W1/O emulsion. 2 mL 2% (w/v) PVA aqueous solution W2 was then added and sonicated for 5 min (80 W) to make a W1/O/W2 emulsion. The resulting W1/O/W2 emulsion was then diluted into 10 mL 0.3% (w/v) PVA solution and the dichloromethane was removed by evaporation under reduced pressure. The obtained NPs were collected by centrifugation at 13 000 rpm for 15 min and then washed three times with distilled water.
