      法国图卢兹第三大学IMRCP课题组的导师Christophe Coudret希望招收一名2019级CSC博士。
       研究方向：无机纳米探针
       研究题目：Non linear nanoprobes : the case of UpConverting NanoParticles (UCNPs)
       研究概况：The applications of lanthanide-containing upconverting nanoparticles (converting low energy light into high energy one), are becoming hot research topics. As secondary light sources, they are used as luminescent probes for deep tissue imaging or anti-counterfeiting, or as initiator for photochemical transformations. However, the energy redistribution processes leading to the emission are still unclear, giving rise to difficulties to characterize the emission efficiencies of such highly non-linear systems.
        We have developed specific strategies to synthesize “functional” ultrasmall nanoparticles made of a Na(Gd-Yb)F4 matrix doped with thulium, in particular with an ytterbium content varying from 20% to 60% and evidenced new features such as the impact of the ytterbium content on the emissions’ lifetimes. The sizes we are able to prepare are of less than 5 nm in diameter, therefore such UCNPs contain a very limited number of emitter (Tm), making these particles close to molecular systems.
        The aim of the PhD is to prepare and study ultrasmall nanoparticles with various emitter and sensitizer concentrations in order to decipher the mechanisms responsible of the upconversion phenomenon. Photophysical data will be acquired in partnership with photophysicists form Lille (Dr Michel Sliwa, Lille 2) and Berlin (Pr Ute Resch-Genger, BAM)        Kinetic treatment and modeling of the recorded data will be achieved in Toulouse using an explicit kinetic model describing the time evolution of all the concentrations of all excited- and ground state.
        Highly motivated and curious candidates are sought. In particular, some training in inorganic colloids preparation or study would be of great advantage.
