Post-doc position for Li-ion batteries at the University of Florida
There is a post doc opening at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering for fabricating novel nanomaterials and testing them as electrodes in Li-ion batteries. Focus will be given on Si and Ge nanostructures, and the main purpose of the project will be to develop design criteria that will limit fracture in materials during electrochemical cycling. Characterization therefore will be a significant aspect of this work.
Requirements: Applicants must hold a PhD in electrochemistry or engineering and must have extensive experience on nanomaterial fabrication, transmission electron microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, electrochemical cycling and impedance measurements. The applicant must be proficient in English (both in writing and speaking), and must be highly motivated and dedicated.
Position details: The position is for two years (an evaluation will be performed after the first year in order to continue). Applications are to be sent as soon as possible.
Interested applicants can email Prof Katerina Aifantis (kaifanti@mtu.edu). 返回小木虫查看更多
