A postdoc position on perovskite solar cell fabrication is open in Prof. Hyun Suk Jung’s Lab in Sungkyunkwan University
Applications are invited for one postdoctoral research assistant position on the field of perovskite solar cells in The Energy & Environment Nanomaterial Laboratory (EENL) lead by Prof. Hyun Suk Jung in School of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University。
The successful candidates will possess, or be close to obtaining, a PhD in physics, materials science, chemistry or engineering and have excellent problem solving skills. They will have specific expertise in perovskite materials synthesis and device fabrications, thin film characterisation and/or advanced optical spectroscopy. In addition they will also have excellent verbal and written skills in English and have a good track record of high quality publications.
Period of the contract: 1 year
Salary: CA. 36 000 000 Korea Wons per annum.
(Contract and salary can be adjusted depends on the candicates quality)
Prof. Hyun Suk Jung, is the principal investigator (PI) of Energy & Environment Nanomaterial Laboratory (EENL), in Sungkyunkwan University. Prof. Jung’s corresponding publications including Nature Communications, Energy & Environmental Science, Nano Letters, Advanced Energy Materials, and so on). Prof. Jung is also a member of the Energy Frontier Research Center leaded by Prof. Nam Gyu Park in Sungkyunkwan University.

EENL has full-order system in home for perovskite solar cell fabrication and test, including:
a)        A dry room which can maintain low humility.
b)        Spin-coater and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) system for thin film deposition.
c)        Thermal evaporator for metal electrode deposition.
d)        CHI 660D electrochemical workstation and Keithley 2400 source meter, equipped with Newport class AAA solar simulator for the cell device parameter tests.
In addition, some advanced facilities can be obtained from the shared research platform and co-laboratory, such as:
a)        An IPCE setup for external quantum efficiency measurements,
b)        time-resolution photoluminescence spectrum (TRPL spectrum) for the carrier life Characterization
c)        Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) for the in-situ photocurrent, surface potential as well as the surface morphology characterization.
EENL has close cooperation relationships within and out of Korea, such as Seoul National University (SNU, Korea), National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL, USA), Los Alamos National Lab (LANL, USA), .etc.
